Os lisboetas GNU VAI NU voltam às edições este ano e para já mostraram o single “Coup” que surge apresentado através de vídeo e irá integrar um novo EP da banda. A faixa, um instrumental minimalista em 8-bit, vem afincar o potencial dos GNU VAI NU na cena musical portuguesa e pode ser ouvida na íntegra abaixo.
Sobre a faixa a banda descreve o seguinte: “Mariano then tried to stage a coup in Constantinople with men of the Macedonian regiments and armed prisoners of war. This move was opposed by the populace, however, resulting in clashes in the streets. The populace became especially enraged when Mariano tried to forcibly remove the Phokades’ elderly father, Bardas, from the Hagia Sophia where he had sought sanctuary, on 15 August. Mariano was reportedly hit on the head by a platter, thrown by a woman from a nearby house roof. Mortally wounded, he died on the next day.”
