Hexenschuss is the bass-percussion project of the electronic post-rock/kraut-pop dutch duo composed by Gil Luz (keyboard) and Assi Weitz (drums) that has been in action since 2013. With typically instrumental, minimalistic and sometimes “dirty” music, Hexenschuss presented us last year their new Gobbledegook LP, which merged classic EBM sensibilities with contemporary sound interests. Since then, the duo has been promoting this great second full-length through a video trilogy that culminates now with the last audiovisual work for the single “Capital Pledge“. The other released singles where “Are you multifocal?” (video here) and “Insert” (video here).

For those who don’t know, the band members are influenced by a variety of artists such as the German kraut-rockers Faust, or the post-punkers Wire and The Fall, to name some. The rhythms of this second album are complex for being involved in simple beats, repetitions of bass lines and, later, transformed into an obscure and cinematographic aura, that ends up making them very characteristics.
