PAAR - "CRACK" (video) [Threshold Premiere]

In April this year, the new scream of Germany's underground scene - PAAR - released their recent EP HONE and are now making sure you won't forget it through a new music video for the opening track, "CRACK". Musically starting with dreamy atmospheres conducted by shiny synthesizers PAAR calmly conducts us to the monochrome landscapes of the contemporary minimal wave. However, it is on the audiovisual spectrum that we can profoundly watch their ambiguous dark side. Ambiguous because it is influenced by a melancholic aura but it is also a song full of colors. They make it kinda clear in the new music video for the theme "CRACK", that is being premiered today.

PAAR forge a sound that includes both the vibes of the 80's new wave and post-punk scene in a musical body composed of beats and minimal contemporary synthesizers which they refine with happy textures and a highly immersive and sweet voice. In the music video for "CRACK" PAAR drugs us and turn us around into a world that can be sinister, dark, but also vivacious and full of emotions. O novo EP dos PAAR é "colorido", mas altamente melancólico

O trio alemão PAAR lançou no passado mês de abril o seu novo EP de estúdio, HONE, um conjunto de quatro malhas que conduzem o ouvinte a um universo multifacetado e enriquecido por paisagens sonoras. Na composição, um corpo musical composto por batidas e sintetizadores, refinado com as texturas constantes da guitarra e do baixo e lixado com uma voz altamente doce e imersiva. Música melancólica com vibes de esperança subliminares.

A abrir o novo trabalho encontra-se o tema "CRACK", iniciada por um baixo altamente monocórdico, uns segundos dos sintetizadores mais aditivos e uma altamente voz presente, que prometem conquistar quem se atrever a clicar no play. Em temas como "VANE" os PAAR transmitem uma energia fervorosa, através de um revivalismo do post-punk dos anos 80 intercalado com as paisagens sintetizadas da minimal wave contemporânea. Um daqueles singles que chega para surpreender e se destacar. Por sua vez, "SYN" conduz-nos a uma mistura de synthpop enquanto nos prepara para o encerramento mostrado em "PURE": um tema em transformação dos primeiros segundos - em intensidade surf-rock - aos quatro minutos e meio em intensidade coldwave.
